I recently wrote an article on the Hussein Chalayan exhibition in Paris for the Twin Magazine blog. Have a read through it here.

Have a look at the piece on The Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum that I wrote for the Twin Magazine blog here.
Glamour Models, Mum & Me
This BBC documentary on a glamour model mom trying to push her daughter to do topless modelling and get a boob job is infuriating. Watch it here.
Example: Mother points to plastic surgery altered body and says: "I am trying to teach her that this will get you places in life and that's the most important lesson to teach your child."
Really?! You would think in the 21st century women have developed past the whole 'I am solely made of tits and arse' thing. Apparently not.
Okay, I am not trying to hate on women who make their money in that way, in some feminist way it could be seen as empowering as long as you know that there is more to being a woman than playing sex object to millions of horny men who need masturbating material.
But trying to push a 14-year-old to get a boob job and not get a degree in biology because life is easier when you are Page Three girl is just idiotic. Guess her implants weigh more than her brain mass.

Quotes At 1 AM
And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.
-Sylvia Plath
-Sylvia Plath
Self doubt is a double-edged sword. In its pure essence it is paralyzing.
Used wisely, it can help us rise further than we thought possible.

Rooney Mara
I think I just became a bit more obsessed with seeing The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
Mara's transformation is pretty insane.

Zola Jesus Vessel
The end bit reminds me a bit of Madonna's Frozen.
Really want bleached blonde hair and sheer, floaty, black fabrics in my wardrobe asap.

Banks Violette
Can I just say that NY installation scultpure artist has some of the sickest tattoos ever.
Of course that's not all to take away from the video clip below (his work is pretty sweet as well), but hey it's reason enough for me.

Kaal E.Suktae
Considering the fact that this label has been been around since 1997, I am surprised that we haven't heard of this Korean-based designer before.
I'd call it womenswear tailoring with an interesting twist.

Clean. Sometimes White. In No Way Simple (And That Is A Good Thing)
Raf Simons & Jil Sander is one of those designer and label matches made in heaven.
Deceptively simple looking but so well-tailored. Looks like it's time for a round of minimalist me.

Dress Like It's 1920
Marc Jacobs - A bit of Prada F/W from last season mixed with glamourous working girl, good stuff.
Ralph Lauren - The original costume designer of The Great Gatsby (a must watch for Mia Farrow alone) revisited one of his most famous design jobs.
The daywear part was atrocious, but the eveningwear section is beautiful.
