Normally crystal embellished shoes run the danger of being too fairytale princess cutesy, but the thick heel give these Giuseppe Zanotti shoes a bit of a cooler edge.

 Alaia = sexy folks, that's just the way it is. Leopard is just one of those timeless prints.

I love the juxtaposition of tulle and leather in these Rick Owens wedges. I have set myself the luxury goal of being able to own something Rick O. someday, preferably one of his leather jackets and shoes like these.

Shoe Lust

Typically female, my lust for shoes will never die. Just when I think to myself that my closet is overflowing (with 99 percent black) shoes, my eyes and heart set sight on a new pair. As these are the holidays, I am hoping that in some kind of act of Christmas spirit, one of these will arrive in a package on my doorstep *hint hint*. Okay that will probably never happen (although I hope it does) but hey at least I have a somewhat less random blog post on my hands.

First up, and I am so late on this that these boots aren't even available any more on Luisviaroma, who are having a F/W sale by the way, not that you can actually afford anything on there without a platinum/unrestricted credit card.

The Dsquared Nappa spine ankle boots. The heel says it all.

On to more practical footwear, I never thought I would see the day where I would be lusting after a pair of Doc Martens. I always found them a bit too clunky heeled/punkster for my taste (although I had my punk times back in the day of 'rebellious youth' but that would require too many hours of Freudian psychoanalysis).

But these beautifully pastel coloured (the mint green is my fave), patent croc leather and rounded/granny orthopedic heels have me looking at these babies in a new light. Thank you Susie Bubble, for restoring my fatih in love at first sight.

Set In Sapphire

I am literally busy as a squirrel until Christmas (speaking of literally and someone who uses the word excessively, Rachel Zoe is pregnant how cute is that? Her child will probably have a Chanel pacifier and be carried around in a Hermes Birkin).

Just wanted to drop this little gem.

The ring is by De Grisogono. It is a 23.18-Carat-emerald-cut blue sapphire surrounded by 107 blue sapphires and 224 white diamonds in white gold.

So going onto my Christmas wish list (in the words of Cher Horowitz, as if!).

A big fan of anything harnessed, be it chains or leather (to which collection I have added my first piece to, but more on that later), my heart fluttered a bit when seeing this beautiful chain bolero on The Zoe Report. Yes, I am a sucker for Rachel Zoe. Guess that throws my alternative fashion credit out the window, but how can you not love a woman who says "bananas" and "literally" five thousand times a day?

On The Leather Lookout

My heart is still lusting for a Rick Owens buttery soft leather jacket to call my own. The draped qualities and cut make me drool, but the price tag puts these beauties out of my reach.

Even the high street alternative by All Saints below, starts at £100 to £400, alas still out of my reach. Sigh. Time to start looking for a job me thinks.

Are You A Shoe-ser?

I am a woman and I need shoes. A simple equation of nature, no?

Seems to me, the industry loves to capitalise on our gender's weakness of high heels.

Lucky me, I don't actually have the money to buy these shoes, ergo no way to send myself into a hellhole of debt. But could these beauties be worth it?

Some of my browsings on Net-a-Porter...

I have been kind of obsessed with finding the perfect nude coloured shoes. Jimmy Choo and Burberry don't have too shabby options (although I do dig plain patent nude coloured Louboutin heels as well).

Does the sole of these Camilla Skovgaard shoes mean I can run in them? There's only one way to find out...

I have been digging chain details as well. To your left, the ladylike version by Lanvin and to your right the badass biker chic shoes from Camilla Skovsgaard.

And in yer boots corner: the infamous Vivienne Westwwod pirate boots and some wonderfully over-embellished so they almost look like trashy cowgirl Gvinechys.
