Jil Without Raf

So Stefano Pilati is out at Yves Saint Laurent and Hedi Slimane might be in, Raf Simons is out at Jil Sander and Jil Sander is apparently...heading back to Jil Sander. It's fashion musical chairs round twothousandsixty.

I personally would be über-excited to see Hedi Slimane work at YSL (no offense Pilati, your stuff was good too, especially the earlier collections), but Raf Simons leaving Jil Sander breaks my little fashion heart. He did offer up a good swan song though with the A/W 12 collection.

The only question that remains is, and depending on whether the rumour is even true, how will Simons minimalism fair at the house of Dior?

Alexander Wang F/W 12/13

Rubber coats, Gisele and fishnet face masks, what's not to love?
Prabal Gurung was pretty cool for NY as well.

The flamenco and draped cuts, the skyline and old calligraphy prints — everything this man designs is special.

Clean. Sometimes White. In No Way Simple (And That Is A Good Thing)

Raf Simons & Jil Sander is one of those designer and label matches made in heaven.
Deceptively simple looking but so well-tailored. Looks like it's time for  a round of minimalist me.

Dress Like It's 1920

Marc Jacobs - A bit of Prada F/W from last season mixed with glamourous working girl, good stuff.

Ralph Lauren - The original costume designer of The Great Gatsby (a must watch for Mia Farrow alone) revisited one of his most famous design jobs.
The daywear part was atrocious, but the eveningwear section is beautiful.
