Marc Jacobs - A bit of Prada F/W from last season mixed with glamourous working girl, good stuff.

Ralph Lauren - The original costume designer of The Great Gatsby (a must watch for Mia Farrow alone) revisited one of his most famous design jobs. 

The daywear part was atrocious, but the eveningwear section is beautiful.

Prabal Gurung Spring 2012

Lovely prints at Prabal Gurung: dripping paint, kaleidoscopic and romantic florals —basically anything that the Surrealist, romantic heart desires. 

The fact that Gurung used my favourite colour as a constant in the collection only added to my admiration for this beautiful accumulation of pieces.

Helmut Lang Spring 2012

Another start of the Fashion Week bonanza. The Big Apple's fashion showings haven't really knocked my socks off completely, but then again New York is deemed the most commercial of all the capitals, so this is more about wearability on the street than say a big meringue concoction of tulle, corsetry and lace.

First up is Helmut Lang, which had it's first runway show in five years. The look was mostly based on asymmetry and relaxed silhouettes, save for a structured blazer and corset or two.

As this was Lang, the main colour palette was white and black, with room for a splash of yellow here and there.
