I had never heard of Heikki Salonen before Fashion Week.
Helping out at Yang Du (who is a doll by the way and does the most fun knitwear ever) as part of the Topshop Newgen exhibition, Salonen was the stand opposite us.
The grey colours, the simple cuts but interesting details all spoke to me in the same way the Vibskov's design do, but in a more subdued colour palette and austere look.
Salonen is originally from Finnland, studied at The Royal College Of Art and designs the womenswear line for Diesel alongside his own label.
Looks like I will be making a trip to Convenience Store (Salonen's only UK stockist) when I get the chance and proper change...
