The Couture Roundup: Part One

Spring 2010 Haute Couture collections so far have been okay, the occasional really beautiful dress here and there but nothing mind-blowing.  But there still is a lot more to come (Chanel, Givenchy) so we'll see....

Anne Valerie Hash, very causal artsy cool.

Christian Dior, love the long leather gloves and voluminous gowns. A very "socialite in the country" collection if you ask me.

Alexis Mabille, very funny half and half hair dyeing on the models.

Armani Prive, elegant as always, but the last two dress look like they are made out of that bubble-y wrap paper that I love to squish.

Thimister marked the return of Balenciaga's chef designer in the nineties. Josephus Thimister said his inspiration was WWI, ergo all the military-inspired and "blood stained" gear.
